Destination Canada - campaign management.
As part of a consultancy engagement with National Geographic in UK, I managed the client and agency relationship with respect to the production of two key branded content campaigns. Destination Canada is a year-on-year Tourism brand partner activating across the year on NG digital and social accounts with a raft of bespoke written, photographic and video content.
The role was client-facing and required organisation and management of weekly calls with key client stakeholders at head office in Toronto and state tourism offices across the country, as well as maintaining and updating production and media schedules together with a US-Based Executive Producer as the campaign moved forward. I also researched and engaged with 3rd-party production in teams in British Columbia to produce video content for ITAC, Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada and Destination Canada. The film was produced by TSU North, an Indigenous owned and operated film production company based in the Yukon.
Nespresso - campaign development and management.
I worked closely with the senior NG team to develop a campaign for Nespresso to communicate their sustainability credientials through films with 3rd party collaborators as well as Nat Geo talent. I travelled to the Cannes Festival of Creativity to discuss the approach with the senior Nespresso marketing head and also to Milan to meet and present 'Beyond the Bean' in partnership with Nat Geo to the global marketing team of Nespresso.
The resulting campaign featured Rena Effendi - a star National Geographic photojournalist and story-teller - on a journey of discovery where she meets with farmers and agronomists across the world in Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Indonesia - coffee growers working with the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality program.
I managed weekly production development and milestone setting calls with the client direct as well as liasing with the global creative team in the US headquarters who produced the film creative.
